Fabio Strinati

Biography

Colonel Fabio Strinati holds a degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Peacekeeping and Security Studies. At the Centre for Higher Defence Studies, he obtained the qualification of Legal Adviser to the Armed Forces, specialising in international humanitarian law.

For many years, he served in the Military Corps of the Italian Red Cross, holding senior positions including Head of the International Humanitarian Law Office, as well as overseeing several central offices and the emergency deployment sector. He led numerous international missions in Albania, Iraq, Sri Lanka, Eritrea and Jordan, and coordinated European projects of the Italian Red Cross in Hungary, Finland, Spain and Greece.

He subsequently joined the Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he headed the Accounting and Budget Department and the Planning and Control Department.

Since 2021, he has worked for the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), where he has served as Head of Office III – Economic Development, Interim Head of the Development and Human Development Office, as well as Interim Director of the AICS Offices in Kyiv and Niamey.

Since 1 August 2026, he has served as Head of the AICS Office in Maputo.
